So, I've finally been sucked into this LARP thing by a certain Istamira. My first event was as an NPC, but I'm crossing the line and joining the PC side for the next event. But, before I can do that, I need a costume for my character! I'm a very visual person, so having my costume drawn before it was made has been a big help in assembling it. Many thanks to my artist friend, MehndiX, for taking on this small commission. :D Submission: Concept Art: Ophelia Azureveil costume concept art

The outfit you see here is Ophelia's "Cold Weather" outfit. Ophelia is a Ghul from the Kingdom of Onhur in the southern lands of Aerune. She's relatively new to the "fabled northern lands," as she has only recently escaped from her slavery in Onhur. Unfortunately, as she is a Ghul, many people have reacted "poorly" (See: Swords and pitchforks) to her ghastly appearance at night and her foreign tongue. In order to stay on the fringes of society, she has slowly gathered many pieces of clothing, armor, and a white porcelain mask to hide her appearance. The mask is one of her most cherished possessions, as it was specially crafted for her by an artisan whom she aided in the past. The mask is painted with tears of gold -- a dual representation of both her lament of being forced to "hide from society" and the frightful tears of blood she has a tendency to shed at night.
Her only other cherished possession is the holy symbol that hangs around her neck. During her time as a slave, Ophelia was lucky enough to meet a kindly priest of Naveril, the Lord of Bounty and Art. It was this priest that taught her both the lands of Aerune and the ways of Naveril while they suffered in their slave camp. Before the priest was taken away from her for the final time, he gave her his final possession -- a small necklace bearing the tipped chalice of Naveril. Ophelia constantly wears it about her neck, but, as it is hidden under her layers of clothing, she has chosen to openly hang a chalice from her belt to display her faith. She believes that Naveril guides each step she takes, and it is one of the few reasons she continues to wander about Aerune, eternally searching to perform good deeds in a land that may not always love her in return.
This sounds exciting! I had a similar notion with a Mystic/Acrobat Vorace who wore a mask but he was more inline with Myrkorim.
