Spotlight on Mirror, Mirror!

As a countdown to the Mirror, Mirror Revel starting this Friday, and going until this Sunday, I invite players, staff, and NPCs to share their favorite parts about Mirror, Mirror. What are you planning for this event? Do you have any new costumes, props, or recipes? What have been your favorite modules? Most unexpected moments? I posted something about winter LARPing yesterday-- please contribute and share one of Accelerant's newest and most action-packed games!

  1. One of the elements that will be interesting for me this weekend is actually PCing a game at the Camp I have been running Madrigal at for 5? 6? years now. It will be a worthwhile experience just to be able to observe the use of space and be able to apply that knowledge to future Madrigal events.

Roskin has never felt confined to me before because I am only in it for selective roles and only then an hour at a time (at most). On the flip side, that Camp can be more exhausting to NPC due to the multiple trips across the site necessary to set-up, hook, run, and break down modules in the woods or the Barn. I can't wait to see what that will look like from the PC side of things.

Of Course, the touching bit of irony is that, yet again, I'm decorating Roskin Hall...just like I've done for the last 5 Madrigal Revels and two double-camp-sided events.

    1. You're decorating? I'm excited... hoping for a teaser. We've been so set in terms of the shattered city's location, that it will be interesting to see where the plot will take us. When I look at the game's locations so far, MM's mechanics allow us to have the most flexibility in terms of rationalized travel.

    2. Yeah we have no idea what the weekend will bring, but have a direction for decorations schemes! It will be awesome to be at the madrigal site & larp *with* my husband rather than staff w/ him. Somehow when running around as an npc, we never have time for a quiet moment to enjoy the site together, unless it's grabbing coffee in the mornings on the back of Monster Camp.

I'm looking forward to seeing what the game is like from Roskin as a pc, hoping it will lead me to better ideas of how to staff/run things there. Also :) Mirror, Mirror!! I've got my armor ready, weapons prepped and some new heraldry. Cause yeah!

There's just something really awesome about being excited for a larp weekend as a pc! See ya there :)
